Project Type: Office Development Area (in sqm): 10,000
Location: Sir John Rogerson's Quay Completion: 2006
This commercial development encompasses best practice of office design in terms of space, flexibility, environmental responsibility, energy usage and disabled access while presenting an elegant building to positively contribute to the context of the area and the river frontage. The building's façades respond to the urban context and orientation. The north façade is highly transparent, giving extensive views of the River. The internal facades to the Park (east and south) are more solid with slot windows to reduce solar heat gain. The west façade is a ventilated "twin skin" façade to support the low energy strategy that considerably lowers the building's running costs. |
