Project Type: Office Development Area (in sqm): 9,000
Location: Dublin 2 Completion: 2003
As a response to the unusual shape of the site, the River frontage received a highly transparent façade, giving the occupants unrestricted views of the River while creating a delicately detailed glazed façade to the campshire.
The south of the site accommodates a deep plan floor plate that is appropriate to modern office needs. Two light wells were punctured through the overall floor plate to give outside awareness within the building. The central light well has a second floor courtyard where the lifts become panoramic, giving superb views down the River. A major art installation by Felim Egan was commissioned by the Client and, due to its quality and scale, works wonderfully well. |
