The clients' ethos whereby management hierarchies are diminished and the workforce united towards product quality became an important aspect of the brief and subsequent design. The non-production elements i.e. entrance, office accommodation and canteen are arranged to the front of the manufacturing module(s) to allow for expansion phases. The entrance serves employees and visitors alike. The clear geometric forms employed in the external treatment of the building are intended to provide legibility and scale to what is a very large construction. |
