The client required 70,000sq.ft. of accommodation for the manufacturing of computer cable adjacent to their existing facilities in Bray, Co. Dublin. Because the scale and mass of this development would contrast with the relatively low dark brown brick buildings that existed on the site, a white building with a simple geometry has been designed. Non-production accommodation is orientated away from the housing to avoid overlooking. The use of large grey aluminium panels incorporating the glazing re-establishes the industrial aesthetic and adds to the building's contemporary identity. |
