Project Type: Architectural Competition
Location: Dublin city centre Completion: 1999
The National Lottery organised a competition to come up with a proposal for a millennium timer or clock to count down to the turn of the century. KMD's submission to this competition -a solar powered visual display unit- proposed to be located on the traffic island at the intersection of Pearse Street, College Green and Westmoreland Street. The proposal was short-listed in the competition and included in a public exhibition of selected schemes.
