In 1997 Trinity College Dublin held an international competition for the design of a new library. The winning scheme, a collaboration between McCullough Mulvin Architects and KMD Architecture, fulfils the brief for a state of the art, landmark building while simultaneously linking together two existing buildings creating a coherent library complex.
